Polish Women’s Club (Koło Pań)

History, Tradition & Community Impact

Our History

The Polish Women’s Club (Koło Pań) in Seattle was founded in 1962 as a Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Polish Home Association.

Since its founding, the Club has played a vital role in supporting the Polish community in the Pacific Northwest. For over half a century, Koło Pań has been organizing the beloved Spring and Fall Bazaars, which have become some of the most recognizable and well-attended Polish cultural events in Seattle.

Beyond event organization, the Club has consistently contributed to the growth and preservation of the Polish Home Association, helping fund improvements to the building and supporting numerous charitable initiatives. These efforts have included support for local shelters, international causes, and Polish cultural projects, strengthening both community ties and cultural heritage.

Today, Koło Pań remains one of the most active and impactful organizations within the Polish Home Association, bringing together generations of volunteers through tradition, hospitality, and service.

What We Do

Koło Pań is best known for organizing large-scale community events such as the Spring and Fall Bazaars, which attract visitors from across the region. In addition to bazaars, the Club:

  • supports Polish cultural and educational initiatives
  • contributes to charitable causes locally and internationally
  • collaborates with other Polish organizations in Seattle
  • helps preserve traditions through food, events, and community gatherings
