Polish Home Association Art Gallery

The Polish Home Association is happy to announce the opening of an Art Gallery. We are creating a forum for artists from the Polish community to present their art and popularize and promote their art in our community.

Artwork is installed on the stage in the lower hall.  We invite you to see the Gallery at Friday Dinners or other events in the lower hall.

The gallery will present a different artist every month or two. We started in December with Iza Gabrielson’s beautiful watercolors.

NEW in June

From February 28th through May 2025, we welcome Basia Niesulowski, a guest artist and long-time member of the Polish Home Association. Basia is an artist and designer from Poland. She graduated with a master’s degree in engineering from Poznan Technical University in Poland and arrived in the United States in the early 1980s.

For many years she worked as a designer of porcelain dolls, puppets, and theatrical costumes. She has also created and developed a large collection of folk costumes inspired by Polish folk art. Her art includes bronze sculpture, charcoal drawings, acrylic, watercolor, and oil pastel paintings. Her oil pastel portraits are very popular.

Art is my passion and my companion from my early childhood and throughout my entire life. Inspiration for my paintings comes from the beauty of nature around me and from a depth of my own imagination.”

The oil pastel paintings presented in the March exhibit at Polish Home have been inspired by her trips to Poland. They are part of a larger collection capturing the beauty of Polish towns and countryside from the Baltic Sea in the north to the Karkonosze mountains in the south of Poland.

From January 17th through February 2025, we welcome guest artist and long-time member of the Polish Home Association – Wendy Rader-Konofalski. Wendy lives in Kirkland, WA, and has exhibited her work at numerous venues in Seattle and on the East Side over the past several years.  Her textured, colorful, and expressive style is eye-catching. Her exhibit will feature a number of her colorful acrylic landscapes, both representational and abstract. Come, see, and support!!

The invitation to show art is open to all artists who want to participate in our new venture. For more details, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Krzysztof Poraj-Kuczewski at pacificwave7777@gmail.com or (206) 295-3533.
